About Us

Through our offer entitled Hängematte [hammock] – "Auffangen & Anstoßen", Psychology graduate students provide counseling to all students, regardless of the program they are in or what they study. Our goal is to offer you a safe and friendly space to talk about all kinds of issues that relate to you and that you would like to discuss with others.

Studying (abroad) is often accompanied by many challenges, for example being a foreigner in a country or town, settling into a different culture, making friends, handling exams, fitting in with your flat mates and keeping in touch with family and friends. These are some of the common issues dealt with by students studying abroad, but perhaps you are concerned with something entirely different. This is what we would like to find out and try to help you with!

Sometimes it is simply nice to have a conversation with someone who listens from a neutral point of view or who is there and asks the right questions. Often talking about something alone can broaden your perspective and inspire new and helpful thoughts.

Over the course of our studies as Psychology students, we have also sometimes longed for a hammock to rest in for a while, as well as for a place to clear our minds or review different options. Unfortunately we cannot offer you an actual hammock, but we can offer you a comfortable chair and an open ear for all the highs and lows of your life.

Although we are not fully-fledged therapists yet, studying Psychology has allowed us to gain useful experience in counseling. Our intention is not to analyze you or do therapy with you.

Curious? Then you are more than welcome to send us an e-mail and give our hammock a try! We look forward to getting your message and arranging an appointment that suits your schedule.
